We thought that these would be too tart. And they are. Yet, we kept going back to get just one more. They are strangely addictive and could not be easier to make. Unlike candied fruit, which is a whole process, these take 2 steps to make. 2 STEPS. @biteswithbecs gets it so right with this recipe. Toss and a quick bake and you're done. They hold up much better than candied fruit as well- check out our tips below!

16 servings
15 min.
Ingredients
1 lb. fresh cranberries
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. grated orange zest (optional)
Instructions
Heat the oven to 300°F. (it’s really important that the oven be preheated for this recipe).
Rinse and drain cranberries (shake off excess water but don't pat dry).
Add the confectioners' sugar, cranberries, cinnamon and orange zest (if using) to a sealable bag. Shake to coat and pour out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake 3 min. (that's all it needs to set the sugar!). Cool on baking sheet on cooling rack.
How do I serve these?
Great question! We love these on a charcuterie board or cheese plate. They’re also great as part of a dessert platter, especially as a counterpoint to richer, heavier desserts. You can also serve them in a bowl as a snack.
You can store any leftovers in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
Do these taste sour or sweet?
Yes.
Just kidding. These are mostly sour but there’s just enough sweetness from the crunchy sugar coating to make them addictive. The recipe is so easy you really have nothing to lose- so try for yourself!
